SALEM – Anna Lepping, age 86, died at 10:38 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born March 9, 1932 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Edward and Kathryn (Bates) Herron.
Anna was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a 1950 graduate of Salem High School where she was Homecoming Queen. In her younger years, she worked at Strouss Department Store and later at Hansell’s store. She spent many hours in her garden.
Her husband, Robert R. Lepping, whom she married October 17, 1953, preceded her in death March 30, 2018.
Survivors include two daughters, Monica (Brad) Pastore of Salem; Roberta (Larry) Jenkins of Massillon; a sister, Jean Bowman of Arizona; grandchildren, Jake (Bree) Pastore, Danielle (Luke Shanklin) Frantz, Elizabeth (Michael) Staubach and a great grandson, Leo.
Her daughter, Kathryn Marie Lepping and her brother, Richard Herron also preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 17, 2019 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating.
