BELOIT - Carol Joy Pyatt-Wallace-Santee, age 82, finished her physical battle on earth at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019. She was born August 16, 1936 in Salem to the late Leroy C. & Lillie S. (Rutter) Pyatt.
Carol is survived by her husband, Dean P. Santee of Beloit; her children, Bonnie Kleinke of Florida, Jill Weldon of Oregon, Jeannette (Gary) Steer of Florida, & Theresa (Jon) Burch of Beloit, and step-children, Dan (Judy Elaine) Santee, Judy (Jeff) Thorn, Ruth Dixson, David (Coleen) Santee, Wes Santee; grandchildren, Jacob, Elyse, Stephanie, Christopher, Stacey, Anissa, Lydia & Phillip; step-grandchildren Jonathan, James, Kyle, Stephanie, Brittany, Kayla, Jacob, Haley, Sean and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen L. Wallace in 1987, and daughter, Deborah L Wallace in 1982.
Carol retired in 1996 from Quaker City IGA in Beloit, after 28 years of food service in the deli department. She also worked at the Goodwill store in Salem and volunteered at The Concern in Sebring. She attended Damascus Friends, East Goshen Friends, and Damascus United Methodist Churches over the years. She loved her family and cherished time with them, as well as her many friends. Carol loved cooking, gardening, bird watching & travelling.
A private graveside service has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Canyon View room at Damascus Friends Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Debbie to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (cff.org).
The family would like to thank her family at Crandall Medical Center who lovingly took care of her for 5 1/2 years and Alliance Hospital and Hospice who aided in her comfort the last few days of her life.
