EAST ROCHESTER – Daniel R. Sanor, age 91, died at 3:15 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2019 at his home. He was born April 7, 1927 in East Rochester, Ohio, the son of the late Ern F. and Mary (Summer) Sanor.
Dan was a grain farmer and owner of Sanor Apple Orchard. He was a lifetime resident of East Rochester, a member of the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church and a 1945 graduate of Salem High School.
Dan served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, was a member of the American Legion Lepine Rush Post 684 and served as post commander. He was also a member of the Sandy Valley Masonic Lodge. Dan served on the Board of Directors and was an agent for West & Knox Mutual Insurance Co.
His wife, Anna Mae (Long) Sanor, whom he married June 5, 1948, preceded him in death June 29, 2018.
Survivors include a son, Scott (Debbie) Sanor of East Rochester; three daughters, Deborah K. O’Brian of Rock Hill, SC, Wendy S. (Bob) Wagner of Salem; Penny D, (Ben) DeJong of Columbiana; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Jenkins of Massillon.
Besides his parents, a brother Jacob Sanor also preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Hanoverton Presbyterian Church. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. before the service.
