Boardman- Heather Englert Dobbins, 40, formerly of Salem, passed away after a sudden illness at 6:45 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Heather was born June 20, 1978 in Salem, OH, a daughter of Richard and Gaylene(Kekel) Englert.
She was a 1996 graduate of Salem High School and received a Degree in Criminal Justice from Youngstown State University. Heather went on to enroll in the Youngstown Police Academy and also received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Youngstown State.
Heather served on the Boardman Police Department since 2003, and was a member of the FOP. She was of the Catholic faith, and loved the beach and the outdoors.
Heather is survived by one daughter, who was her life, her mini me, and BFF, Olivia Marie Dobbins of Boardman; her parents, Richard and Gaylene Englert of Salem; one brother, Scott (Dr. Kim Truong) Englert of Seattle, WA; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Robert and Dora Englert; and her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Mary Kekel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Catholic Church.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Stark Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Salem.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Scholarship Trust Fund for Olivia.
