James Eugene Barrett

SALEM – James Eugene Barrett, age 52, died at 3:12 a.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 at Salem Regional Medical Center. He was born April 14, 1966 in Salem, Ohio, the son of Elinor (Hinkle) Barrett and the late Elmer Barrett.

James had worked as a molder for 15 years at Quaker City Castings. He liked working on cars and remodeling his home.

Survivors include his wife, Connie (Peters) Barrett, whom he married February 2, 1990; his mother, Elinor Barrett of Salem; two sisters, Helen Barrett and Carol (Arthur) Apicella, both of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his father, a sister, Linda Lapin and nephew, Seth Garrison also preceded him in death.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services. There will be no service.
