SALEM – Kenneth Lee Shaffer, age 80, died at 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born September 11, 1938 in Salem, the son of the late Russell C. and Mable Mae (Perkins) Shaffer.
Before his retirement in 1990, Kenneth and his late wife, Patty were the owners of the former Salem Glass and Mirror and the former Touch of Glass.
Kenneth served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Salem.
His wife of 48 years, Patty Lou (Crawford) Shaffer, whom he married in 1961 preceded him in death August 17, 2017.
Survivors include a son, Tab Alan Shaffer of Salem and a daughter, Morlinda Mae (Shaffer) Kruegel of Salem and eleven grandchildren.
Two brothers, Ronald E. Shaffer and Russell “Jiggs” C. Shaffer, Jr. also preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2019 at the First Christian Church with Rev. Leonard Moore officiating. There are no calling hours.
