SALEM – Libby M. (DiBacco) DeCrow, age 96, died at 4:27 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019 at her home. She was born February 19, 1923 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Venanzio and Agata (Petrella) DiBacco.
Libby was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church where she was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister, active in the Bereavement Ministry, Health and Wellness Ministry, a member of the Funeral Choir and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of R.S.V.P. and the Salem Country Club.
Her husband, Anthony T. DeCrow Sr., whom she married April 12,1947 preceded her in death on April 25, 1979.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph J. (Cindy) DeCrow of St. Petersburg, Florida and Stephen E. (Denise) DeCrow of Marathon, Florida; a daughter, Loretta (Jack) Connolly of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Jason (Kristine) DeCrow, Sara (Jay) Zerbs, Anthony T. (Kalie) DeCrow III, Gregory Connolly, Gina (Matthew) Connolly McKeehan, Angela DeCrow and Vincent DeCrow; great grandchildren, Ezekiel, Noelle, Keilani, Joel, Eliana, Brooklyn Paige and many nieces and nephews.
A son, Anthony T. DeCrow Jr., and six brothers, John, Joseph, Samuel, Armand, Ernest and Victor DiBacco also preceded her in death.
Throughout her life, Libby enjoyed golfing, swimming, tennis and dancing. Her consistent acts of kindness and generosity were much appreciated by her family, neighbors and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating. Calling hours will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Stark Memorial. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
