Salem – Linda S. Shonce, 59, died Friday, March 8, 2019 at University Hospital’s Ahuja Medical Center in Beachwood. Linda was born January 23, 1960 in Salem, Ohio, a daughter of the late David Bush and Patricia (Burger) Bush.
She was a 1978 graduate of Salem High School and went on to get her Associates Degree in Nursing in Tampa, Florida. Linda was an LPN for 25 years at various different facilities.
A woman with a strong Christian faith and love for her Lord and Savior, who had a heart of worship was an active member of Crossroads Ministries in Salem.
She was a very selfless and compassionate person having been involved in the card ministry at the church. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and quilting. She also had a deep love for animals and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter Avery.
Linda is survived by her husband, Douglas Shonce of Salem, whom she married June 23, 1979; one daughter, Rachel (Joe) Sabella of Beloit; her mother, Patricia Bush of Salem; two brothers, Dan Bush of Stow and Don (Lorie) Bush of East Rochester; and one granddaughter, Avery Sabella.
She also leaves many nieces and nephews whom she loved.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Crossroads Ministries with Pastor Freddie Rodriguez officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
