SALEM – Marsha (Hart) Vaughan, age 79, died at 5:45 am. Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Courtyard of Lexington. She was born April 30, 1939 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Dr. Virgil C. and Mary Virginia (Hogan) Hart.
Marsha last worked with the U.S. Army as a Personnel Security Specialist for 10 years, retiring in April of 2000. She previously worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Co. and the U.S. Navy as a Personnel Security Specialist for 10 plus years also. Marsha was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a volunteer with the church. She also served on the board of Century House and a volunteer with Meals on Wheels.
Survivors include her husband, William F. Vaughan whom she married June 9, 1979; a son, Ronald E. Cope of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Michelle A. Kist of Elizabethtown, KY; a brother, William L. Hart of Columbus; and three grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by sisters, Marilyn Smith, Janet Covert and Sister Joan Hart and brother, Edward “Ted” Hart.
A memorial mass will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, April 26, 2019 at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating. Interment will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio.
