Sharman Callahan Obituary

SALEM – Sharman Diane Callahan, age 67, died at 3:20 p.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born April 19, 1951 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Kenneth and Jean (Saltsman) Martin.

Sharman had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. James Lehwald Jr. for three years and Dr. Gene Schaefer for 20 years. She is Presbyterian by Faith. Sharman was a 1969 graduate of Western Reserve High School, four-year majorette, one of the very few people to play contra bass clarinet in a high school concert band and a member of the VFW Auxiliary Ellsworth Post 9571. Sharman loved to golf.

Survivors include her husband, Michael D. Callahan whom she married April 19, 1986; a brother, Steve (Nadine) Martin of Canfield; a niece, Andrea Martin; a nephew, Ben Martin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
