Virginia "Jinny" Yuhaniak Obituary
SALEM - Virginia “Jinny” Yuhaniak, 95, died March 9, 2019 at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Jinny was born October 21, 1923 in Salem, Ohio, a daughter of the late Charles M. and Edna M. (Shaffer) Chappell.
She was a 1941 graduate of Salem High School. She was a secretary at the former Parker Chevrolet as well as Electric Furnace Company. Jinny was a member of First Christian Church. Her true joy was spending time with her family.
Her husband Thomas Paul Yuhaniak, whom she married October 16, 1954, died January 29, 1996.
She is survived by one daughter, Jill A. Kilchenman of Sleepy Hollow, IL; one son Ted T. (Lori) Yuhaniak of Salem; and six grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, and Daniel Kilchenman; and Thomas L., Ted H., and Betsy Yuhaniak.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Thomson and Betty Hilliard; one brother, Robert Chappell; and her son-in-law, David Kilchenman.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Fr. Robert Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received Friday from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00-11 a.m. at the funeral home.
