SALEM - Amelia Rose Falk, a beacon of love and wisdom, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the age of 104, at her home in Salem, with her loved ones by her side. Born on November 9, 1920, in Flushing, OH, to the late Vittorio and Attilia (Reposati) DePietro, Amelia lived a life marked by kindness and an unwavering commitment to her family.

At the age of 18, Amelia went to live with her aunt and uncle in Rochester, NY  before coming to Salem in the early 40’s.  Throughout her lifetime she worked as an usherette at the State Theatre,  Salem Community Hospital, and various other places in Salem.

Amelia,  wed the love of her life, Gus Falk, on April 24, 1948. Their union was a testament to enduring love until Gus's passing. in September 1993. Together, they raised a beautiful family, instilling values of love and togetherness that continue to resonate through generations.

She is survived by her devoted children, Lana Weingart of Salem, Dale Falk and his wife Elaine of Salem, Rona Mcllduff and her husband, Anthony of Leetonia, and Alan Falk and his wife Karen of Salem.

Amelia's legacy is celebrated by her 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, each of whom she adored. Her presence was a gift, and the wisdom she imparted will continue to guide them.

After the passing of her husband in 1993, she continued to travel with family on their beach vacations over the years.  At the age of 94 she was able to travel to Key Largo, Florida for her grandson’s wedding. And at 96 she went to the beach in North Carolina with her family.  She also enjoyed traveling with her one grandson on various trips and one memorable trip was Branson, MO in 2009 at the age of 89! The one thing that impressed her family the most was she got her first I-phone at 97 and learned how to text, and she loved including many emoji’s in her texts.  Other favorite things she enjoyed was going to casino’s, and pontoon boat rides on Guilford Lake.  She truly enjoyed life and was always up for an adventure!

The family would like to thank the  caregivers from Visting Angels, the special care she received from Patriot Hospice , and a very special thank you to Becky Crowl for her love and wonderful care she gave to Amelia.
