Barbara L. Stein

Barbara Lynn “Peach” Stein (Cowie), 64, of Salem, passed away on April 30, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on June 21, 1957.

Barbara had many talents. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening, reading books, playing word games and cards are a few things she would do in her spare time. She loved her family very much and she will be missed by all that knew her.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Robert Stein of 23 years; children, Josh Stein, Jennifer Pierce, and Matthew (Jaime) Ade; grandchildren, Olivia Stein, Emma and Ellie Bibbee, and Naliana Ade; and she leaves behind many siblings; Kathleen Betso (Cowie), Sue (Richard) Ross, David Cowie, Judy (John) Ossachuk, Marty (Trudy) Cowie, Mary (Curt) Maguire, and Mark (Toni) Cowie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Cowie Sr.; Elaine and Denis Davin; step-daughter, Bobbie Jo Stein, daughter, Rebecca Ade and brother, Robert “Bob” Cowie Jr.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 at Stark Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00-6:30 p.m. with a time of family sharing at 6:30 p.m. A livestream will be available on the Stark Memorial Facebook page and a recording of the service will be available under the obituary online.
