Betty Lou Filban, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on August 26, 1936, in Salem, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Esther (Graybeal) Duriga.
Betty's life was marked by her passion for the festive season and her flair for creating joy through her love of decorating. Her apartment was a winter wonderland, boasting no fewer than eight uniquely decorated Christmas trees, each a testament to her creative spirit and her ability to make the holidays magical for everyone around her. She was also an avid shopper, finding delight in the simple pleasure of discovering treasures for her home and gifts for her loved ones.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dorene White and John (Julie) Crawford; grandchildren, Brandon (Brett) White, Dylan White and Logan Crawford; great grandsons, Jackson, Dawson and Beckett White and sisters, Carolyn Caldwell and Charlene Akenhead.
