SALEM – Billy Jack Thompson, 56, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Salem Regional Medical Center following a long-term illness.
He was born on August 21, 1968, in Alvin, Texas to the late Glenda (Lewis) Schulte.
Not only was he a loving husband, dad, grandfather, and brother but, he was also a proud Navy veteran having served during Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Dickey) Thompson, whom he married on July 24, 2002; son, Skylar (Alania) Thompson; sister, Stephany (Steve) Mancil of Alabama; Candy (Mark) Hill of Texas; brother and sister-in-laws, James (Christine) Dickey and John (Cyndi) Dickey; father-in-law, William Dickey; and grandchildren, Harrison and Theodore Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Olivia Thompson, and two sisters, Lisa and Renee.
Per Billy’s request no services will be held.
Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
