SALEM - Bonnie Lou Tullis, 69, a lifelong resident of Salem, passed away peacefully at Salem Regional Medical Center early Tuesday morning, November 5, 2024.
Bonnie was born on May 3, 1955, to the late Jack and Mildred (McLaughlin) Tullis, and was a cherished member of the Salem community and will be fondly remembered for her warm smile and generous spirit.
Bonnie was a proud graduate of Salem High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships and developed a reputation for her kindness and dedication. After graduation, Bonnie devoted many years of service as a beloved waitress at local restaurants in the Salem area. Her friendly demeanor and attentive service won her the affection of both her colleagues and the many patrons she served over the years.
Bonnie's greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, who were the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her loving son, Jason Pittman, of Salem, who was the light of her life and her most profound pride. Bonnie also leaves behind her dear sister, Barb Lambright, of Howland, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond and countless cherished memories as well as several nieces and nephews whom she cherished. Though her parents, Jack and Mildred Tullis, preceded her in death, the values they instilled in her remained a guiding force throughout her journey. Bonnie was also preceded in death by one son, Brad Pittman and one brother, Ronald Tullis.
As we bid farewell to Bonnie Lou Tullis, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and love. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have been part of her story, and she will be missed more than words can express. Bonnie's life is a reminder of the beauty of simplicity, the strength of faith, and the enduring power of human connection.
