Brenda K. Spiker

SALEM - Brenda K. Spiker, 54, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at her sister's home in Salem, Ohio.

Born on June 9, 1970, in Alliance, Ohio, she was the cherished daughter of David Eugene Spiker, Sr. and the late Ellamae (Kidd) Spiker. Brenda will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A graduate of Lisbon Christian Academy, Brenda's life was a testament to her faith and creativity. She found great joy in crafting and crocheting, creating beautiful pieces that she often shared with family and friends. Brenda loved spending time with her family and looked forward to family get togethers.

Brenda's heart had plenty of room for her beloved pets: her dogs, Paco and Stella; cat, Kitty; and her collection of exotic pets that brought vibrancy and energy into her home. Her youthful spirit showed when she engaged in fun activities like playing on her Xbox, one of life’s simple pleasures that she enjoyed with her other half, Brian.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories cherished by her sons, Zachary Harman and Shayne Harman; her longtime love, Brian Taylor, and stepdaughter, Cheyenne Taylor; her siblings, Cyndi Morrison, Jon Spiker, Mark (Sarah) Spiker, Tim (Nichole) Spiker, and Elizabeth Wingert; her step-grandson, Jayden; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Her life was not without its share of sorrow, as she was preceded in death by two infant children, one stillborn, and the other, David, who lived for a precious 17 minutes. She also mourned the loss of her brother, David Eugene Spiker Jr., who passed before her.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Brenda's life will be held at Salem Bible Methodist Church, 1647 N. Ellsworth Ave. Salem, Ohio 44460 at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 20, 2024, with a visitation for friends and family scheduled for one hour prior, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

The care of Brenda and her family has been entrusted to Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
