Bruce A. Corey

LEETONIA - Bruce A. Corey passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, at his Leetonia residence at the age of 73.

Born on November 15, 1951, in Salem, Bruce was the beloved son of John F. Corey and Louise M. Pegg.

He attended Crestview High School.

Bruce's professional journey was marked by his tenure as a truck driver, a role he fulfilled with diligence and pride. He spent many years behind the wheel for Franklin Furniture / Stearns & Foster before moving on to C & K Petroleum. His passion for vehicles extended beyond his work hours, as he was often found tinkering with cars and trucks, turning his hobby into a reputable side job. Those who knew Bruce will fondly remember his incredible sense of humor, which brought joy and laughter to all who crossed his path.

Family was the cornerstone of Bruce's life. He was a devoted husband (lol) to Helen Corey, his beloved companion of 54 years and a loving father to his daughter, Angel Beverly of Poland. Also, left to cherish his memory are his four grandchildren, Mark, Tiffani, Tyler, and Brook Beverly, and his three great-grandchildren, Adeline, Paisley and Olivia, who will carry forward his spirit of generosity and kindness.

Bruce's life was enriched by the close bonds he shared with his family, including his mother, Louise M. Pegg, his brother, Douglas (Deb) Pegg, and his sister, Pamela (Kelly) Hough. His faithful dog, Bailey, was a constant companion and source of comfort throughout the years.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, John F. Corey, and his stepfather, Floyd Pegg.

A private celebration of Bruce's life will be held at a later date by his family.

Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
