Carolyn J. Cooper

SALEM - Carolyn J. Cooper, 86, of Salem, Ohio, passed away on May 16, 2025.

Born June 14, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Lucille (Felger) Hartman. Carolyn was raised by her late grandparents, Phillip and Stella Hartman when her mother died February 14, 1940.

Carolyn graduated from Salem High School in 1956. She formerly was employed at Finance America, Citizen Budget, and she retired in 1999 as a loan officer for Key Bank.

Her husband, Ronald G. Cooper, whom she married January 25, 1971, preceded her in death on April 26, 2013.

Carolyn lovingly leaves her daughter, Judy Bailey Cicconi (Shawn Smith) of Salem; son, John P. Bailey (Shelley Montini) of Salem; her grandchildren, Christopher (Kim) Bartholow, Ericka (Ron) Morris, Brock (Aubrey) Bartholow, Kel'c Bailey, Cortnee Bailey, Kyle Bailey, and Collin (Julia) Murphy; and sunshines of her life, Veronicka Morris, Kingston Bailey, Bodhi Bartholow, Vivianna Murphy, and Gwendolyn Murphy, the great-grandchildren. She also leaves her half-brother, Les Hartman; her sister-in-law, Janice Wells; niece, Amy Parilla; and many cousins.

Carolyn dearly loved her pets!!!

Private visitation will be held at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home followed by a private committal service at Hope Cemetery.
