Charles “Bud” Janofa, age 80, of Salem died at 5:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Caprice Health Center in North Lima. He was born June 30, 1938 in Washingtonville the son of the late Russell and Lucille (Varner) Janofa. Bud was an assembler for the former E. W. Bliss Co. and retired after 25 years. Bud was a vendor at Rogers and Four Seasons Flea Markets and enjoyed spending time with the patrons. He was a member of the Salem Athletic Booster Club and was an avid Salem Sports fan. For over 30 years Bud was a mainstay at Reilly Stadium and John Cabas Gymnasium supporting athletes of Salem. Bud loved to watch his grandchildren compete in sports. He was a veteran of the United State Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Robin (Andre) Janofa whom he married June 6, 2006; two sons, Timothy (Andrea) Janofa of Gilbert, Arizona and David (Kelly) Janofa of Salem; three daughters, Deanna (Mike) Dunaway of Canfield, Leanna Cameron of Salem and Debbie (Harvey) Price of Salem; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
A sister, Peg Gallo also preceded him in death.
Calling hours will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery. There will be no services held.
