COLUMBIANA – Christopher A. Galchick, 72, of Columbiana, passed away on April 18, 2024, at his home.
He was born on December 31, 1951 in Salem, Ohio, son of William and Audrey (Munsell) Galchick.
Chris was a 1969 graduate of Salem High School, and attended trade classes for six years. He worked as a machinst for 30 years. He was also a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Vietnam War.
Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowled on the family bowling team for a number of years. He and his wife Julie, also donated generously to their church and their community.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Sue Bush of Salem, Connie Fair of Youngstown, Mary Killie of Huntsville, Ala.; Karen Williams of Columbiana; Laura Stewart of Salem, Christine Whitacre of Salem, Ruth Madison of Salem, Roberta Kaleel of Canfield, Kathy Navarro of Warren, Rose Julian of Salem; brothers, Jim Galchick, Timothy Galchick, Mark Galchick and Steve Galchick, all of Salem.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Julie; parents, William and Audrey Galchick; and a brother, Thomas Galchick.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
