Dale Cramer Obituary

Dale Allen Cramer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away at the age of 67 on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Salem Regional Medical Center in Salem, Ohio. Born on June 2, 1956, in Columbiana, Ohio, Dale was the son of the late Ester and Jack E. Cramer Jr..

A graduate of Columbiana High School, Dale dedicated many years of service as a skilled crane operator at Alliance Steel, which later became Alliance Castings. His work was not just a job but a testament to his intelligent and handy nature. Dale had an innate ability to understand the workings of machines, a talent that extended far beyond his professional life.

Sharing 34 years with the love of his life, Lisa Cramer (née Nye), Dale was a devoted husband and a pillar of strength for his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wonderful children, Jenna Wooner and Dale "Buddy" Cramer Jr., as well as four cherished grandchildren. Dale also leaves behind his siblings, Kay Williams, Karren Griggy, Phylis Smith, Thomas Cramer, and Jackie Andrason, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember their times together.

An avid car enthusiast, Dale spent countless hours working in his garage on cars and loved race cars. His love for NASCAR was matched only by his joy in figuring out how things worked, and often building different gadgets. Dale's energy was boundless, and he found great pleasure in working with his hands, whether it was repairing a car or creating something new.

A true sports fan, he was a dedicated supporter of the Cleveland Browns and Ohio State.

Dale's intelligence, handiness, and kindness were the words that best described him. He was a man who approached life with a warm heart and a keen mind, always ready to lend a helping hand or share his knowledge with others. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of Dale's life will be held at a later time by the family.
