Dale E. Guthrie

SALEM - Dale E. Guthrie, 94, of Salem, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Salem Regional Medical Center.

Born December 28, 1930, in East Rochester, he was the son of the late Paul and Katherine (Brice) Guthrie.

Dale was a proud Army veteran and a graduate of Salem High School. He was a farmer, a welder, and a welding instructor at Mahoning County Career and Technical School.

He is survived by his sons, Ken (Cindy) Guthrie and Robert (Jody) Guthrie; grandchildren, Jacob (Hannah), Jenna, and Kevin; three great-grandchildren; and his sister, Patricia Stryffler.

Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Guthrie.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2025, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Dante DiGiacomo of New Garden Methodist Church. Burial will take place at Grove Hill Cemetery in Hanoverton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Garden Methodist Church, 7165 state Route 9, Hanoverton, Ohio 44423.
