SALEM - Daniel C. Anderson, aged 82, of Salem, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Blossom Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Salem. Born on November 30, 1943, in Youngstown, OH, he was the son of the late Albin and Grace E. Wadman Anderson. Dan's enduring spirit and unwavering work ethic were evident to all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and service.
A proud 1962 graduate of Jackson Milton High School, Dan's entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish Dan Anderson Siding and Seamless Gutters in Salem, a business he successfully owned and operated for over 50 years. His passion for agriculture shone through his stewardship of a Dairy Farm, which he also owned for several years. Dan's commitment to his country was exemplified by his four years of service in the United States Army National Guard.
A member of the Greenford Christian Church, Dan's faith was a cornerstone of his life, guiding him in his daily actions and interactions with others. He found joy in the simplicity of life, often taking pleasure in camping and motorcycle riding, activities that brought him closer to nature and provided opportunities for reflection and adventure.
He is survived by his wife, Robin A. Anderson (Srock), whom he married on August 15, 1992. His legacy will live on through his children, Daniel Anderson Jr. of Salem, OH, Scott Anderson of Damascus, Wesley (Laurie) Anderson of Salem, and Megan (Michael) Larew of Texas. His life was further enriched by his siblings, Paul (Nancy) Anderson of Boardman, Kristine (Bob) Demes of Salem, Debbie (George) Gati of Georgia, Robin Houser of North Jackson, and Tina Baird of North Jackson. The joy of his later years was compounded by the laughter and love of his grandchildren, Graham and Myla Anderson.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Carol Miller, Alice Abello, and Lolly Robinson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., January 6, 2026, at Greenford Christian Church, 11767 Lisbon Rd. Greenford, OH 44422.
He will be laid to rest at Berlin West Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
