Danny "Bud" Mac Lutz

SALEM - Danny Mac “Bud” Lutz, 67, passed away January 25, 2025.

He was born November 5, 1957, in Salem, Ohio, a son of the late William J. and Dorothy Jane (McGuinn) Lutz Sr.

Bud worked as a field operator at Cobra Pipeline. He was a 1976 graduate of Salem High School.

In his younger years, Bud enjoyed the great outdoors. He loved fishing on his family’s dock out at Guilford Lake, hunting, camping, and concerts! There’s not much he didn’t enjoy back then!! He loved spending time with those he held dear to his heart, he loved him very much. He was also a fabulous cook!

Uncle Bud is survived by his nieces and nephews, including many great nieces and nephews.

He was also proceeded in death by his siblings, James “Muck” Lutz, William “Willie” Lutz, Patricia “Patty” Lutz, Donald “Duke” Lutz and Linda Lutz.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to help the family with final arrangements towards the loss of their beloved uncle. Bud’s passing was unexpected and unfortunately, he had no end-of-life plans in place.

Bud will be cremated at Stark Memorial in Salem, Ohio and his ashes laid to rest with his family at Grandview Cemetery in Salem, Ohio.

Per request of Danny Mac Lutz, no services will be held. If you knew Bud, you’d know how much he dreaded these heartbreaking moments in life, as he experienced far too much loss in his time here. He would never want any of us to get all dressed up sobbing over him in a funeral home!! (His words!)

There will be a celebration of life to honor Bud. It will be held Friday, April 18, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at his niece’s residence, address and phone number are listed below!

Please come help us celebrate Uncle Bud’s memory. All are welcome to join us for good food, a warm fire and an evening filled with love, laughter, and memories.

He would love that!

Uncle Bud, you will be dearly missed by us all. You were a great man and held your family and friends dear to your heart. You were stubborn as can be, yet always a man of your word who stood up for what you believed in. Now you are at rest and with all of those who you missed so dearly in your time here on earth.
