SALEM - David Grant White, an accomplished ASE Master Tech, and cherished family man, passed away suddenly on March 8, 2024, in Salem. David was born on May 5, 1949, to the late Ulysses G. White and Audra (Seese) White in Youngstown, Ohio.
Not only was Dave an esteemed Master Tech, he started tinkering on machines at age 10 and would continue to work on cars and fix things until the day he died. He retired after 15 years of service at JD Byrider. His strong work ethic and love of cars ran bone deep – but his knowledge of cars ran deeper. Remaining true to his nature, he also loved fiercely. He was a dedicated partner and father, providing an endless source of strength and love. He is survived by his son, Richard (Tammy) White; daughter, BeLinda Berry; life partner, Christina Berry; sister, Nola Edwards; brothers, Ora “Bud” (Sandy) White, Charles E. (Sandy) White, and Christopher L. White; granddaughter, Bria Abramski; and special cousin, Jeff (Vickie) White, who was more like a brother.
In honoring David’s grit for life, a memorial service will take place at 6 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Rev. Diana Williams will conduct the service.
