Debra Sue (Icenhower) Baird

SALEM - Debra Sue Baird, 72, passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at Akron City Hospital. She was born on September 12, 1952, in East Liverpool, the daughter of the late Charles Powell and Laurene Icenhower.

Debra was a 1970 graduate of East Liverpool High School. A passionate dog lover, Debra found immense joy in raising her canine companions. However, nothing could compete with her love for her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Julie McDonald and Jennifer (Donald) Paynter; grandchildren, William (Sarah) Paynter, Hannah (Cody) Maris, Jacob McDonald and Owen McDonald; and great-grandchildren, Liam Paynter and Waylon Paynter.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Baird.

A celebration of life will be held later.

Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
