SALEM - Denise Ellyn Mayhew, 65, died Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Salem Regional Medical Center,

Denise was born on February 19, 1956 in Salem, OH, a daughter of the late Francis and Eileen (Sanders) Lucas.
Her passions were reading, doing crossword puzzles, her biggest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Denise was a 1974 graduate of Salem High School.  She went on to get a degree medical billing. Denise worked at Ventra as a press operator for 15 years.

Her husband, Dennis, whom she married July 14, 1977, died Sept. 26, 2010.

She is survived by three children, Michael (Heather) Mayhew of Little River, SC, Darby Mayhew of Salem, and Derek (Jessica) Mayhew of Salem; two siblings, Bill (Sheri) Lucas of Rittman and Lorna (Ron) Hannay; grandchildren, Austin, Johnthen, Sunshine, Skylar Stuckey; Storm Ward and Sadie Graham; David, Joshua, and Lucas Mayhew.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Burial will be held at Hope Cemetery.
