Dorothy L. Fitch

SALEM - Dorothy L. Fitch, 96, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2025, in the comfort of her home.

Dorothy was born on April 28, 1929, in Salem, Ohio, to the late William A. and Dorothy L. (Wright) Zimmerman.

Mrs. Fitch was a homemaker and member of the New Garden Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Smith, in 1956; second husband, Clarence B. Fitch, whom she married April 13, 1959, in 2004; and brothers, Leroy Zimmerman and Norman Zimmerman.

Survivors include children, Gail (Robert) Brown, Gary (Debby) Smith, and Deborah (Roger) Briceland, all of Salem; two grandchildren, Gary Smith Jr. and Pamela (Chris) Cehrs, both of Salem; and five great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Dakota, and Garrett Smith, and Kadance and Hallie Cehrs.

Friends and family will be received from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., on Monday, August 4, 2025, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, 1014 E. State Street, Salem, where a funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m., with Pastor Dante DiGiacomo officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memorial Park.
