Edwin "Ed" Rex Reed, 88, died Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Washington Square Healthcare in Warren, OH.
Ed was born on June 05, 1936, in Troy, WV as the son of Melvin Rex and Mildred Mae Bailey Reed.
Ed was a proud graduate of Leetonia High School in 1954, and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corp. Upon returning he had a 30-year career with Chrysler Corporation at the Twinsburg Plant.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Robert Reed; his sister, Toni Wassum, and his beloved wife Betty J (Willard) Marroulis Reed.
He is survived by; brothers Melvin Reed II, Richard Reed, sisters; Beverly Morrow, Pattie Braden, Kathryn Young, Elizabeth Geiger. Children; Ted (Carolyn) Marroulis, Bob (Rita) Marroulis, Bill Marroulis, Cheryl Mundy, Janice Brown, 13 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great/Great Grandchild.
Special thanks to Betty Eberling for her love and devotion to our father for the last 16 years.
Ed has been a lifelong Cleveland Indians Fan, very active in Salem Junior Baseball holding many offices as well as coaching the Italian Club for many years.
He was a lifetime member of Salem Amvets Post #45, Perry Lodge #185 Free & Accepted Masons for over 50 years, UAW Chrysler, and a member Fellowship Baptist Church, Beloit, Oh.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Father’s Day, June 15, 2025, at Salem Amvets Post #45 followed by Honor Guard Salute at Grandview Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
