Lisbon-Elizabeth "Betty" Thomas, a cherished beacon of love and laughter, passed away surrounded by her adoring family on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on November 18, 1947, in West Point, Ohio, Betty was the beloved daughter of Charles O. and June C. (Randolph) Seevers, whose memory she treasured and whose legacy of warmth and generosity she carried throughout her life.
Betty was 1966 graduate of Beaver Local High School. She worked part-time as a janitor at Beaver Local.
Above all, Betty was the ultimate mother and grandmother. Her protective nature knew no bounds, and her willingness to do anything for those she loved was a testament to her boundless heart. She was fiesty and quick-witted, with a spirit that was as infectious as it was comforting.
Her husband, Paul Thomas, whom she married on August 20, 1994, died in 2017.
Betty's legacy continues through her loving family. She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Tracy (Mark) Chestnut of Lisbon and Amanda Moore of Struthers. Her siblings, Carol Poynter, Frances (Herman) Crane, Patty (John) Eaton, Dolly (Doug) Phillips, and Tim (Geraldine) Seevers, will remember her for her unwavering support and enduring affection. Betty's grandchildren, Marcus, Matthew, Alyssa, and Rylee, as well as her great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Miah, Alivia, Nash, Bronson, and Rhett, will carry forward her legacy of love and kindness. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her, each of whom will cherish the unique and special bond they shared with Aunt Betty.
Preceding her in death, besides her parents, was her brother, Ted Seevers, with whom she is now joyfully reunited.
