Ernest H. Simon

SEBRING – Ernest H. Simon, 84, passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Crandall Medical Center. He was born May 29, 1940, in Milwaukee, WI, son of the late Reinhold and Myrtle (Kohl) Simon.

Ernie loved his wife, his kids, science fiction and golf. He enjoyed telling jokes, reading, woodworking, and traveling the world with his wife. Ernie worked in the printing industry for 45 years.

His strong faith in God helped him to navigate his final days.

Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley (nee Pitcher); son, John (Beth) Simon; daughter, Ellen Reilly; grandson, Daniel, and great-grandchildren, Kensley and Keatin.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth and three sisters, Karen, Marybeth, and Patricia.
