SALEM - Grace L. Gbur, 79, passed away March 7, 2024, at Salem Regional Medical Center after a brief illness. Born on August 23, 1944, in Youngstown, Ohio, Grace was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Moscar) Miglarese.
A graduate of Struthers High School, she went on to build a fulfilling career at the Salem News, where she dedicated over 15 years of service in the advertising department.
Grace was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was the center of her universe, and she poured her heart into creating a home filled with laughter, support, and unconditional love. Her son, Ryan (Robin) Gbur of Ravenna, and her grandchildren, Ian and Alex, were the lights of her life.
Grace's outgoing personality was magnetic, drawing people to her with her warmth and genuine interest in their lives. She loved to socialize, whether it was going out with friends for shopping sprees or enjoying dinner at a favorite restaurant. Her presence was a source of joy and comfort to all who knew her.
She leaves her cousins Phyllis, Rita, Jack, Jimmy, Carol, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Gbur in 2015, and her sister, Velma Dama.
Friends and family are invited to gather and celebrate Grace's life at Stark Memorial Home on Saturday, March 23, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. It will be a time to share stories, to laugh, to cry, and to honor a woman who made an indelible impact on so many lives.
