Gwendolyn S. Davis

Gwendolyn S. Davis, 78, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in Canton, Ohio.

She was born in Salem, Ohio, on February 2, 1948, to the late Glen and Myrtle (Wildman) Zimmerman. She graduated from Crestview High School.

Gwendolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was thrilled any moment she got to spend with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was often seen taking trips to visit her granddaughter, Kayla, while she was at work. She became very well known and loved during her many trips. Gwendolyn was known to be a mother to many.

She was a housekeeper for most of her working life. In her spare time, Gwendolyn enjoyed water aerobics at the community center and taking trips to the casino. Her pride in life was her family, including her feline companion, Delilah.

She married Timothy Davis on February 12, 1977. Timothy passed away on October 30, 2020. They spent 43 loving and memorable years together.

Gwendolyn leaves behind her two loving sons, Tom “Spyder” (Shelly) Van Horn and Shane (Heather) Davis. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Josh (Jackie) Van Horn, Zachary Van Horn, Kayla Van Horn, Brandon Van Horn, Zoie (Ryan) Sox, Sophie Davis, Libbie Davis, and Hailey Ware. Gwendolyn also leaves behind five great-grandchildren, Dominic Van Horn, Addilyn Van Horn, Gunner Van Horn, Tiara Van Horn, and Waylon Sox. She will also be dearly missed by her brother Ed Zimmerman. She also leaves behind her adoring cat, Delilah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Timothy Davis, a brother, Richard Zimmerman, and a son, Brad Van Horn.

There will be no services for Gwendolyn at this time.
