Jack E. Sawyer

COLUMBIANA - On August 6, 2024, Jack Eugene Sawyer, 93, fell asleep peacefully.

He was born October 6, 1930, in Youngstown, to the late Ward and Gardenia Sawyer. Jack was a 1950 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He worked for Plaza Records and managed his own business as an electronics technician for over 35 years.

Jack loved music and playing the trumpet. He was a devoted family man with a keen sense of humor and loved by all. He volunteered his time as a minister and Bible educator of his faith. He helped many to gain a positive hope for the future based upon Jehovah God’s promise at Psalms 37:10,11. (JW.org)

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; his beloved daughter, LeeAnn (Beau); and grandchildren, Nathan (Clare), Matthew, Jackson, and their father, Tom; brother, Ron (Carol); sister Sally; Brother, Richard (Sharisa), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parent’s, Jack was preceded in death by his sibling, Ward; brother-in-law, Michael; sisters-in-law, Juanita and Doris, and his twin granddaughters, Gina Lee and Rachael Ann.
