Janet L. (Brautigam) Zeh

SALEM – Janet L. Zeh, 94, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Lexington Place Assisted Living in Salem. She was born April 15, 1931, in Salem, daughter of the late Chester and Martha (Middleton) Brautigam.

Janet was a 1949 graduate of Salem High School. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Janet worked at the former Theiss Greenhouse/Floral Shop for many years. She retired from Phar Mor Corp and S & H Candy and Tobacco Co. Janet wintered in Florida since 1996.

Her husband, Richard F. Zeh, whom she married July 3, 1982, preceded her in death in 2012.

She is survived by a son, Scot (Linda) Laughlin of Salem; two stepsons, Darrell Zeh and Dave Zeh, both of East Palestine; daughter, Mrs. Robert (Debbie) Caldwell of Salem; two stepdaughters, Carol Gaspar of Pittsburgh, PA, Glenda Zeh of Boardman; two sisters, Shirley Brautigam of Port Orange, FL and Carol Roher of Salem; brother, Fred Brautigam of Salem; eight grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, a son, Richard Laughlin and a brother, Richard Brautigam also preceded her in death.

Private services will be held. Entombment will take place at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
