Janice M. Bennett

SEBRING- Janice M. Bennett, age 100, of Sebring, passed away at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Copeland Oaks. She was born August 24, 1924, in Salisbury, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Charles G. and Kathryn (Reiber) Miller.

Janice was a 1942 graduate of Old Goshen High School and had worked at the Farmer's National Bank as a teller. She retired in 1970.

She was a member of Damascus Methodist Church, the church Women's Club, the church choir and taught Sunday School. She was also a member of the Damascus Magazine Club and Pegasus Equestrian Riders.

Her husband, Lea Virgil Bennett, whom she married May 19, 1942, preceded her in death on December 8, 1981. Also preceding her in death are her son, Barney Lea Bennett on December 1, 1996; brother, Larry; sister Betta Lee, and her nephew, Dale Lea Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 20, 2024, with visitation one hour prior at Damascus Methodist Church, with her nephew Rev. Dr. James Miller and Pastor Jon Long officiating. She will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery.
