SALEM – Jean Haraway, age 89, died Monday, January 7, 2019 at her granddaughter’s home in Texas. She was born February 3, 1928 in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond and Charlotte C. (McKee) Miner.
Jean was a homemaker. She enjoyed cleaning the house, cooking and spending time with her family.
Her husband, Willard Haraway, whom she married August 27, 1954, preceded her August 21, 1997.
Survivors include a son, Chester (Linda) Bell of Lancaster; two daughters, Betsy Cox of Salem and Karen (Curtis) Bluhm of North Benton; four grandchildren, Eric Helman, Rebekah Henthorne, Travis Cox, Kyle Bluhm; and four great-grandchildren, Bryden Helman, Aubrie Helman, Alexis Henthorne and Brock Henthorne.
Two sisters, Helen Morjock, Leora Romeo and two brothers, Paul Miner and Chuck Miner also preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 14, 2019 at Stark Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Calling hours will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit.
