SALEM - Jerry Lee Hendricks, 85, of Salem, Ohio, formerly of Greenford, Ohio, passed away on April 7, 2025. He was born on February 6, 1940, in Salem, Ohio, to Ralph Sloan and Bertha Mae (Rhodes) Hendricks.
Jerry graduated from Greenford High School in 1958, where he was known for his athleticism, especially in basketball. After high school, he continued his education at Youngstown State University. On April 21, 1963, he married the love of his life, Mary Kathryn (Kathy) Stamp, in Winona, Ohio.
For over 37 years, Jerry worked at Deming Crane Company in Salem and also served as a real estate agent for Stamp Realty. Jerry was a lifelong member of Greenford Lutheran Church, just as his parents and grandparents had been before him.
Jerry had a passion for the outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed trapping and golfing and was a longtime member of the Salem Golf Club. He cherished many travels, particularly fishing trips to Canada with his family, winter vacations to Florida, and adventures to Alaska and Italy with close friends. However, the trips spent with his grandchildren held the most special place in his heart.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved son, Jeffrey Lee Hendricks. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 60 years, Mary Kathryn (Kathy) Hendricks; his daughter, Kimberly Sue Evans; grandsons, Mitchell (Ciara) Hendricks and Bryce Hendricks; his sister, Audrey (John) Hall; and his daughter-in-law, Dayna Becki Hendricks.
Calling hours will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Friday, April 11, 2025, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home with a funeral service led by Pastor Josh Ruiter to immediately follow.

Jerry will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
