Joyce L. Brandt

ALLIANCE - Joyce L. Brandt, 82, passed away under hospice care in the comfort of her home on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

Born on August 27, 1942, in Salem, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Jack L. Jensen and Mildred "Millie" E. (Hinchcliff) Lutsch.

On October 24, 1970, Joyce united in marriage with Lowell Brandt, with whom she shared 25 wonderful years, until his passing on November 19, 1995. Joyce, a devoted homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother, found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She also dedicated herself to the service of others, working as a waitress at the Stagecoach and providing compassionate care as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) at Blossom Nursing Home and in-home health care settings.

Joyce's hobbies and interests reflected her zest for life and love for the outdoors. She found joy in sewing, bowling, fishing, camping, boating, and especially spending time with her family. Her sweet, loving, and thoughtful disposition, with just the right amount of feistiness, will be lovingly missed and remembered by many.

Joyce leaves to carry on her memory, her children, Lori Phillips, and Jeffrey Brandt, both of Alliance; grandchildren, Ashley Phillips, who affectionately called her "Granny Goose," and Zachary Phillips; and half-siblings, Richard Lutsch and Marcia Pickens.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by her stepfather, Walter Lutsch; and her faithful companion, Molly the Shih Tzu.

A private funeral service will be held for the family at Stark Memorial Funeral Home and burial will follow next to her parents at Hope Cemetery in Salem.
