Kathleen "Kathy" J. Fillman

Kensingon-Kathleen “Kathy” J. (Coleman) Fillman, 76, passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center on the morning of June 17, 2025.

Kathy was born on September 15, 1948, in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of Don and DeNelda (Archibald) Coleman. Kathy married the love of her life Dannie Leigh Fillman Sr. on October 9, 1965. They raised four boys while living in Kensington, Ohio.

She loved spending time with her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Kathy loved to watch Mash, Star Trek, and binge watch her favorite Christmas shows: Life and Adventures of Santa Clause, Year Without a Santa Clause, and the Grinch. She loved spending quality time with her family playing cards and board games.

Kathy was a long-standing member of Kensington Christian Church. She was a devoted follower of God and found great comfort in listening to her Bible daily. Kathy worked at Summitville Tile for 43 years, retiring in 2012.

Kathy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she will be missed tremendously.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Dannie L. Fillman; parents, Don W., and DeNelda E. (Archibald) Coleman; and siblings, Janet (Kenny) Brenner, Dawn (Robert) Vatter, and Robert Coleman.

Survivors include her children, Bob (Lisa) Fillman of Hanoverton, Don Allen Fillman of Richmond, Travis (Carie) Fillman of Kensington, and Dannie (Sherry) Fillman of Bergholz; grandchildren Kaylin (Ryan) Burd of Salem, Kierstin (Steve) Mcbride of Hanoverton, Preston “Riley” (Amanda) Fillman of Salem, Paige Fillman of Kensington, Brice Fillman of Bergholz, Autumn Fillman of Salem, and Bailey Fillman of Bergholz; great-grandchildren, Miles Fillman, Sloane Burd, and Millie Mae Fillman; and sister-in-law, Sherri Coleman of New York. Kathy also leaves behind her loyal companion and much-loved dog, Chase.

Family and friends will be received from 4-5 p.m. on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Kensington First Christian Church, 11035 Canal Street, Kensington, Ohio, where a celebration of life service will follow at 5 p.m., with Gene Hydrick officiating.
