Linda A. Dinsio, 84, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on April 21, 1941, in Salem, Ohio, to the late Gerald J. and Kathryn E. (Gongaware) Lippiatt.
Linda grew up in Salem and attended Salem High School. She spent many hours riding horses during her youth. As she got a little older, she found a love for riding motorcycles. She was a courageous and outgoing person and always had an unwavering loyalty to those she loved.
Linda was a proud mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She always put her family first, helping shape them into the wonderful people she always thought they would be.
She was an avid crafter and shared her talents in many ways. The most memorable of ways would be the quilts she made, or other sewing projects that turned into gifts for her family. She will also be remembered by her love for cooking and baking, but most importantly, sharing what she made with those she loved.
Her family will continue to appreciate even the littlest of moments they spent with Linda. Whether it was eating corn dogs from Ricci’s Kwiki stand at the Canfield Fair, enjoying a crisp Diet Coke, or spending a day at Christmas in the Woods with her granddaughter, Jessica, Linda’s presence will continue to be cherished by her family and friends.
Linda leaves behind her son, David (Namfom) Dinsio, a daughter, Tammy Barnes, six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She will also be dearly missed by her brother, Jerry (Cathy) Lippiatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Theresa Kreidler, a son, Danny Dinsio, and two brothers, Jim and Dave.
Calling hours for Linda will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, located at 1014 E. State St., Salem, Ohio 44460. Another hour of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. the following day, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the funeral home, with a funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Linda’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the compassionate staff at Hospice House during Linda’s final days. They would also like to thank Ashley, with Akeso Home Health, for providing a deep level of care, and a meaningful friendship, with Linda. The family would also like to extend their appreciation to Linda’s brother, Jerry, and his wife, Cathy, for continuing to be a helping hand when the family needed it most.
“When I must go, I will not be alone, my guardian angel will lead me home.”
