BOARDMAN TWP. - Margaret “Peggy” McClain, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the age of 69 at Continuing Healthcare Solutions in Boardman surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on April 4, 1955, in Salem, Ohio, to the late Dan and Rosemary (Minamyer) Papic.
Peggy retired from General Motors' Lordstown Plant as an assembly line worker. Throughout her retirement, she enjoyed tending to her flowers and yard, baking, reading, sewing, crafting, and spending time with friends and family. Peggy was the life of the party with her outgoing personality.
Peggy is survived by her husband, Glenn McClain, of 27 years. They enjoyed retirement together by traveling and spending winters in Florida. She is also survived by her daughter, Michele Schein and her husband Kyle Rushing; stepchildren, Peggy Crooks and her husband Floyd, and Tom McClain and his wife Cristian; sister, Kathleen Michels and her husband Jay, and her brother, Denny Papic. She was predeceased by her brother, Charlie Papic, whose memory remained close to her heart.
Peggy adored her five grandchildren, Lane Schein, Connor Schein, Jason Smit, and his wife Karley, Brodie Crooks, and Zac Crooks. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she took great pride in their accomplishments and adventures.
She was blessed with many close friends whom she cherished deeply. Her friendships were built on love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. She also held her family close to her heart, treasuring the time spent with them and creating bonds that would last a lifetime.
Following Peggy’s wishes there are no calling hours or services planned at this time.
