Mildred M. “Millie” Redifer, 96, of Salem, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025.
She was born on April 13, 1929, in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Melvin B. and Della (Jones) Snauffer.
Millie was a self-employed personal homecare provider and moved to Salem in 1994 from Carrolton. She was a member of Salem First Friends Church, Salem Saxon Club Branch 19, and the Lydia Missionary Society of the church.
Preceding her in death is her husband, William H. Redifer, whom she married April 10, 1993, until his passing in 2013; her first husband, Robert Skaggs in 1984; brothers, Melvin Snauffer Jr. and Robert Snauffer; sister, Nancy Paige; half-sister, Sharyn Caplea; son-in-law, Ron Evans; two grandchildren, Fred Seikel, and Jeanie Evans; and great-grandson, William Seikel.
Survivors include sons, Don (Margaret Jean) Skaggs of Kissimmee, FL and David (Dorothy) Skaggs of Austintown, OH; daughters, Wanda (Don) Miller of Kensington, OH, Connie Evans of Kodak, TN, and Nancy (Bill) Rinderknecht of Dennison, OH; brother, Richard "Butch" (Regina) Snauffer of Louisville, OH; a half-brother, Gary (Nancy) Cobedesh of Minerva, OH; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.
A private memorial service was held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Salem First Friends Church, with Pastor Pete Fowler officiating. Interment was at Grandview Cemetery in Salem.
Arrangements were handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
