SALEM – Nancy Jo Williams, 56, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Mercy Health – St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital. She was born January 27, 1964 in Bradenton, Florida, daughter of Georgene (Weingart) Scott and the late John H. Scott.
Nancy attended Youngtown State and Kent State Universities. She worked at Rite Aid, formerly Peoples/Lane Drugstore as shift supervisor and cashier for 38 years, Nancy was a member of Bunker Hill United Methodist Church. Nancy loved spending time with family and serving her customers. Her cat, Dora, was very special to her.
Survivors include her mother, Georgene (Weingart) Scott of Salem; husband, Walt Williams of Salem, whom she married September 19, 1987; stepsons, Gabe (Stacey) Williams of Cleveland and Robert (Alena) Williams of Boardman; stepdaughter, Nichole Mae Benner of Painesville; two sisters, Shelley Chappel of Salem and Tamra Scott of Youngtown; brother, Terry (Carol) Scott of Salem; six grandchildren, Isabella, Makaylah, Ryker, Allyson, Katelyn and Cooper and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Bunker Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. David Andrews officiating. Please adhere to social distancing and bring your own mask. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 2800 Corporate Exchange Dr., #260, Columbus, OH 43231.
