LEETONIA – Nathaniel S. Jones, 28, unexpectedly passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in Salem, Ohio.

He was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on August 12, 1997, to Benjamin Jones and Carrie Knag.

Nathan graduated from South Range High School in 2015.  He worked as a diesel mechanic for Cox Fleet where he finished in the top 5 in the annual Top Tech competition.

On October 19, 2019, Nathan married Alyssa Schauer. Their love for each other blossomed into a beautiful family of their own. They have three children, Weston Grey (5), Everson Laine (2), and Walker Banks (1) who absolutely adored their father and will miss him forever.

Nathan loved his family and worked hard to provide for them. He had a passion for playing pool, camping, riding dirtbikes and anything that involved spending time with his friends and family. He could always be counted on to help anyone who asked. 

Nathan leaves behind his loving wife, Alyssa, a daughter Everson, and two sons Weston and Walker.  He will be deeply missed by his parents, Benjamin Jones and Carrie Rock,  Robert and Sheila Coontz, Jamie and Jenniffer Schauer, brother-in -law, Travis Schauer, grandparents, Marsha Knag, Frank and Maria Schauer, David Todd, several aunts, uncles and cousins and many close friends that were his family.

Calling hours for Nathan will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Greenford Christian Church located at 11767 Lisbon Rd, Salem, Ohio 44460. A funeral service will commence at 12:00 p.m. at the church on Saturday.
