POLAND – Priscilla Jane Mariotti Lodge of Poland died at the age of 80.
She was born in Hillsville, Pa., on September 5, 1944. Priscilla was a resident of Salem, Ohio, Venice, Florida, and Bentonville, Arkansas. As a graduate of Mohawk High School in Bessemer, Pa., she was a member of the National Honor Society. While attending college at SUNY in Freedonia, N.Y., she worked for a government program for migrant children. She worked as a secretary while finishing her degree at Youngstown State University where she graduated cum laude with a BS in education. She then completed a master’s degree at the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. She taught school at Leetonia Schools in Leetonia, Ohio.
During the 25 years that she lived in Salem, Ohio she helped her husband who was owner of the Lodge Sign Company, and she also sold antiques at an antique mall in East Liverpool, Ohio.
While in Venice, Florida she was secretary on the Master Association Board for her community and a member of the University Women’s Club. She also volunteered at the Englewood Art Center.
While in Arkansas she was a member of the Bella Vista Garden Club.
During their 43 years together, Priscilla and her wonderful husband traveled extensively taking many cruises and travels to Civil War sites.
She leaves her devoted husband, Larry; her brother-in-law, Thom (Karen) Lodge of Poland; her sister, Debra (Tom) Kostelic of Poland; her grandchildren, Zachary (Heather) Yoho of Columbiana, Ohio, Russel (Monica) Yoho III, Conor and Baley Jane Yoho of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and four great-grandchildren, Eli, Elaina, Ethan and Jackson Yoho.
Members of her family who preceded her in death are her sons, Russel Yoho from Salem and Douglas Yoho from Siloam Springs, Ark; brother, Paul; mother, Mary Jane; father, Alfred Mariotti, all from Hillsville, Pa.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date at St. Paul the Apostle in New Middletown, Ohio.
Arrangements are being handled by Stark Memorial Funeral Home.
