Ralph Williams Obituary

SALEM - Ralph Orville Williams, passed away on Sunday evening, May 26, 2024, at the age of 77. Ralph was born on October 5, 1946, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the cherished son of the late Delbert and Maryann (Merriman) Williams.

Ralph 's life was a testament to the values instilled in him by his parents, and he carried their legacy with grace and dignity. On June 18, 1965, Ralph married his beloved wife, Linda Whiteman, and they were married for nearly 58 years. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and enduring companionship.

A proud father, Ralph is survived by his daughters, Traci Lynn Tolentino and her husband Brian, of South Park, Pennsylvania, and Michelle Weible and her husband Robert of Colorado Springs, Colorado. His role as a grandfather brought him immeasurable joy, and he will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Amber Tolentino and Joshua Tolentino and his wife Lexi, as well as by his grand pups, Henry, Kylo and Odin, who brought a special spark to his later years.

Ralph's sisters, Becky Coleman of Lisbon, Ohio, and Sharlene Sayre of Burlington, Wisconsin, will cherish the memory of their brother's unwavering support and endless kindness. The Williams family tree, marked by the branches of Ralph's life, is deeply rooted in love and shared experiences. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his siblings, Crisona, Delbert, and Keith, who no doubt welcomed him with open arms.

A graduate of Wellsville High School, class of 1964, Ralph's work ethic and engaging personality were evident from his early years. His professional journey saw him retire from Schwan's Foods, where he excelled as a sales manager. His career also included time spent in sales for the Youngstown Vindicator, where he was known for his integrity and commitment to service.

Ralph's interests were as varied as they were engaging. An avid reader, he found solace and adventure within the pages of books. His mind was often occupied with the challenges of sudoku puzzles, which he approached with the same strategic thoughtfulness he applied to life. But perhaps his greatest passion lay in building and working with wood. Ralph's handiwork and craftsmanship were a source of pride and a reflection of his meticulous and creative spirit.

Ralph's life was a beautiful mosaic of moments spent with family, friends, and the simple pleasures that brought him joy. His legacy is not just in the tangible creations he left behind, but in the intangible impact he had on the hearts of those he touched. Ralph Orville Williams will be deeply missed, yet his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us in the stories we share and the memories we hold dear. His was a life well-lived, and his light will shine on in the legacy of love and kindness he leaves behind.
