Richard Carl Sekely

Richard Carl Sekely passed away peacefully at his home on June 19, 2025. He was born November 18,1955, to Carl Jack Sekely and Joan Jean (Shepard) Sekely. He was a lifelong resident of Salem. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by two sisters, Kathleen Joan (Sekely) Petel and Lori Ann (Sekely) Shriner. Five children, Steven, Ashley, Kristofer, Maddie and Sydney. Eight grandchildren, Kaine, Mieklo , Cooper, Makenzie, Atalie, Lilly, Kennedy and Ma'lani and two great grandsons. 

Before retiring he was a tool and die maker at Sekely Industries. He later became a home care giver where he was beloved by his clients. He enjoyed riding bicycles and being outdoors. He loved collecting plants and spoiled his two cats.

His biggest source of happiness were his kids and grandkids who he loved unconditionally. His presence in their lives will continue to be felt long after his passing and he will be greatly missed. 

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
