Robert "Bob" Faulkner Obituary

SALEM - Robert "Bob" Faulkner, 64, passed away surrounded by love and care at Circle of Care in Salem on October 25, 2025.

Born on July 28, 1961 in Grafton, WV, Robert was the son of the late Jack E. and Teresa A. Bevilock Faulkener.

A graduate of Salem High School, Bob spent most of his working career as a foundry worker at Eljer Plumbingware in Salem. He later worked at Valley Forge and most recently at The Way Station in Columbinana until his health began to decline.

Robert's commitment to personal growth was evident in his dedication to sobriety. As a steadfast member of Alcoholics Anonymous, he celebrated 13 years of sobriety, providing support and encouragement to others on their journey. His resilience and strength were an inspiration to many who knew him.

Bob's zest for life was infectious. He was a man who knew how to enjoy the simple things – whether it was watching football on Sundays, with a particular fondness for his beloved Cleveland Browns, or savoring his favorite spaghetti at Adele's. True to his fun-loving nature, he was a fan of WWE and had a love for heavy metal and rock and roll. He lived by the motto, "If it's too loud, then you're too old!" and his passion for music was a testament to his youthful spirit.

Above all, Robert found his greatest happiness in the company of his childen and family, often challenging loved ones to a lively game of checkers or a friendly board game competition. With his witty and sarcastic humor, he had a unique ability to light up a room and bring laughter to any situation. Bob was also known for his creative jingles and the fun nicknames he bestowed upon those closest to him.

Bob leaves to carry on his memory, his children, Rick (Charity) Faulkner of Hanoverton, Paul (Elizabeth) Faulkner of Minerva, Isaac Faulkner of Salem, Teresa Faulkner of Salem, and Emily Faulkner of Salem; sister, Tami (Bill) Shutler of Salem; grandchildren, Harlynn, Kashton, Ryder, Sylvie, and soon to arrive, Lana; his former wives and mothers of his children, who he remained close friends with, April Ammon Faulkner and Tabatha Faulk; and his faithful companion, Kaiser.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by siblings, Mike, Rick, Phil, and Jack Faulkner.

Family and friends wil be received from 4-6 p.m., on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home, 1014 E. State St., Salem, where a celebration of life service will follow at 6 p.m. In keeping with Bob's laid-back nature and his love for music and the Browns, guests are encouraged to dress casually and those who wish to further commemorate Bob's passions are invited to wear a rock band or Browns shirt.
